Job Introduction

The Adult and Community Team deliver a range of exciting courses to our diverse learners in the heart of our community. From maths and English to flower arranging and dress making there is something for everyone! We're are recruiting a Campus Operations Officer to provide a service across our community campuses. We're looking for a dynamic and vibrant professional who is able to engage with curriculum and support staff, including Health and Safety and Estates teams so that our centres operate safely and ensure a positive student experience. Never worked in a college? That's okay! We're looking for your skills, experience, and ability to work efficiently and build relationships....and we have a range of learning and development opportunities for you too! Our Campuses are: Rothwell, Deacon House, Eastgate, North Street and Enfield and may consider part time hours across our working day. The role will be based at anyone of our sites and will require travel between all community sites.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure systems, procedures and processes are in place to support the safe and smooth running of day to day activities across our community campuses.
  • Coordinate a response to campus safety and security matters ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Play an active role in managing campus related projects to improve campus systems and processes.
  • Plan and deliver training sessions and briefings to key stakeholders on all matters relating to the role.
  • Work collaboratively with Curriculum teams, Health and Safety and Estates teams and our Group Shared Services functions such as; MIS, Finance, IT, HR, Capital Projects and Student Recruitment and Marketing to ensure the smooth running of our community campuses.

The Ideal Candidate
  • You will have experience of working in an operations focused support service organisation with a proven track record of working to time critical requests and responding effectively.
  • You will be extremely customer focussed and be able to make sense of complex issues, identify and solve problems and think on your feet.
  • You will be committed to promoting a safe environment for young people and adults to learn in and have undertaken health and safety and first aid training, or have a willingness to undertake it.
